Après Hashers:        Gyrator & Pantyhose

The meeting point this week, was Theo's in Çalis, and then travel in convoy to the car park at the Istanbul Restaurant, Kaya.

Soon everyone had arrived and under sunny skies and some warm weather a circle of friendship was formed.  The GM called order, K'Plonker was awarded the Hashit, this time for managing to get himself locked in the toilet of some friend's house for nearly an hour and the door having to be forced to enable him to escape, he was found inside on his hands and knees!!!!!! Cheeky Chappie, was then called in and was welcomed as the new RA. The hares, K'Plonker and Easy Pickings were then called in and asked to give us a brief on the trail, markings, hazards etc. We were then off-off along the road, towards the old clock tower, past Caspers, and along the roads round Kaya, heading around the village, passing flooded fields (reminding us of the rains and floods recently), some sarcophagus on the side of one of the roads, passing a nanny goat with a couple of kids (very cute they were too), we were soon back to the start, where welcoming beers were waiting for us.  It was as was promised, a reasonably flat 5-6km, on the roads trail, a good stretch of the legs.  Well done guys.

When everyone had returned and refreshed, the circle of friendship was re-formed, the Hares K'Plonker & Easy Pickings were called in and given the lowdown of what we thought of the hash, and were then awarded their down-downs.
Then it was the turn of the returning hashers to be welcomed back into the fold (there were far too many to name).

It was then noticed that one of the returning hashers was wearing pink sunglasses, so a down-down was awarded to Liz.

The new hashers Suzanne and Ian (from The Fethiye Times) were welcomed and given down-downs in the usual manner and we were assured a good write up in the Fethiye Times would follow.

K'Plonker was then awarded a down-down as Hashit, one hare all hares was called, so Easypickings joined him, and a request for the snitch who passed the information to the hash to join them, hashflash, Seaman Pumper duly joined them for the down-down.

A 50th mug was awarded this week to Swallow, who was asked to sit on the new throne (toilet), and was given her down-down from the usual receptacle and was then given an egg and beer shampoo.

Pantyhose and Gyrator were called in for a down-down for preferring to attend the car boot sale rather than do the hash, but managed to turn up for the beer and roast!!!

Announcements were then called for -

There is to be a Valentines Dinner on Saturday 14th February, venue to be announced as soon as confirmed.

A collection was made in aid of FIG, for the local schools.

Eats were at Casper's, Kaya.  Where we had roast dinner of either beef or chicken, loads of hot steaming veg.  Many thanks to Michelle and family.
